ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Saturday, October 10th 2015 [ME NewsWire]
The Executive Office of the MoI’s Smart Government Program implemented several development projects, related to the Ministry’s website. These projects are designed to provide the technical features and standards of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, in order to ensure optimal access to the ministry’s website, better usability and compatibility with different web browsers, smart phones and portable devices, ultimately becoming an interactive website.
Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Mohammed Al Shimmari, Executive Director of the Smart Government Program at the Ministry of Interior, said that the ministry, by developing the website, has improved e-participation possibilities for the benefit of users, so as to provide the highest levels of communication with the public.
He said: “Technically, the architecture and design of the Ministry of Interior’s website has been taken into account, in order to provide the most important data of interest to users and community members; including news, articles, multimedia (photos and videos), and data, which allow members of the public to learn about the activities and events of the Smart Government at the Ministry of Interior.”
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior’s website serves as a web portal that provides browsers with streamlined and quick access to information and to the various online services offered by the different sectors and departments of the Ministry of Interior. It also provides these departments with the opportunity to receive complaints and suggestions from the public about the services provided by the Ministry, as a part of its quest to provide the best services to members of the public.
The website provides links to a number of selected Police Departments affiliated to the Ministry of Interior, and directly related to internal and external customers, in addition to links to the different e-services provided online for citizens, residents and visitors.
Users can access the website via the link "http://www.moi.gov.ae", which includes comprehensive and detailed information about the Ministry of Interior, its comprehensive strategy, its new organizational structure, regulations, laws, news and training plans, as well as a special portal for frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers.
