Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports, met in his office with a delegation from the Czech Criminal Police. The delegation, headed by Brigadier Zdeněk Laube, Deputy Chief of the Czech Criminal Police, is visiting the UAE to meet with a number of officials at the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, both parties discussed a number of topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the fields of security, especially related to naturalization, residency, immigration, and passports between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
Brigadier Zdeněk Laube and the accompanying delegation were briefed about the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and the organizational structure of the administrative divisions at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector and its affiliated directorates general across the UAE. They were also given an overview of the different tasks and duties carried out by these departments, and the distinguished services and facilities provided to the public.
The Czech Police delegation toured the E-Passport Section and was briefed about the workflow, tasks and duties at the section, as well as the efforts to develop and upgrade work to the highest levels. The delegation also examined the modern and advanced equipment and devices used for printing and issuing e-passports.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, Head of Naturalization Department; Brigadier Abdullah Ali Al Hosani, Deputy Director General of Ports and Airports; and Colonel Sameh Khalaf Al Daen, Deputy Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Department in the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs.
The Czech delegation also visited the Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General, where they were briefed by Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General, Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General and Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Deputy Director General about the UAE’s efforts in the fight against drugs. The delegation also reviewed the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to reduce the demand for drugs, as well as the efforts to curb this scourge, the prevention and awareness programs carried out by the ministry to educate community members about the risks and damages of drugs.
The Czech Police delegation also visited the Federal Criminal Police Directorate General, where they listened to a brief explanation by Colonel Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi, about the most important tasks carried out by the Directorate General and its work methodology.
