ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, September 22nd 2015 [ME NewsWire]
Lt. Colonel Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of the Al Ain Traffic Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the section will intensify the efforts in the various internal and external areas of Al Ain during the Eid Al Adha holiday. Traffic patrols will be deployed throughout the city in order to prevent traffic jams caused by increased numbers of motorists on the roads.
“The arrangements include increased patrols to prevent negative behaviors from some motorists, and to control the roads with high efficiency,” he added. “The patrols will be more concentrated around the Eid prayer locations, abattoirs and Al Ain tourist attractions such as Green Mubazzarah, Jebel Hafeet and Hili Fun City. The patrols will also be available in residential and commercial areas, parks and other places.”
Al Hemairi urged motorists and members of the public to cooperate with the traffic policemen for the benefit of the community. He pointed to the importance of building bridges of cooperation with the costumers, encouraging them to report any wrongdoing or illegal behavior by motorists to the Operations Room.
He also called upon motorists and members of the public to be careful and to protect their belongings from theft by locking their vehicles when parked near prayer areas for the Eid prayer or in front of shops. He also urged caution while community members are out for a stroll or visiting family and friends.
