Desert Warrior Challenge - Ajman Edition will be launched in Al Zorah Marina 1, on March 24th, featuring a new star-studded obstacle lineup and with the attendance and participation of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi - Representative of Ajman Ruler for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Department of Finance, Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi – Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department, Sheikh Humaid Bin Ammar Al Nuaimi and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi.
Speaking about his upcoming participation in the Desert Warrior Challenge Ajman Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said, ‘We are thoroughly excited to be participating in the first edition of Desert Warrior Challenge Ajman and are looking forward to seeing the people of Ajman able to compete in such an event.” His Highness also added, “We are very proud to be hosting this event in conjunction with Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) and look forward to witnessing the success of the first race of its type in the Emirate.’’

Desert Warrior Challenge Ajman will feature over 15 obstacles on the course including new obstacles that will debut at the event. New obstacles will include:
The Warrior Zip - An obstacle that will have Warriors zipping 60m across the water.
The Chimney - Where Warriors will have to shimmy their way up wooden enclosed walls and then slide down a fireman’s pole.
Walk The Plank - Where Warriors will have to take a plunge from 7m into the water below.
Hamster Wheel - Which requires Warriors to work together as a team to get up and over a rotating wheel.
Desert Warrior Challenge also sees the return of legendary favourites such as The ¼ Pipe, The Beast and Brain Freeze.
Desert Warrior Challenge Ajman is organised by Warrior Events in conjunction with Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), proudly sponsored by Ajman Free Zone & Ajman Chamber and supported by Al Zorah Development.
Speaking about the event DWC Managing Director Troy Gillham says, “This is certainly going to be our most adrenaline fueled Fearless warrior course yet. The team has come up with great new obstacles that are sure to thrill the Warriors. For DWC it is all about the obstacles, we want our warriors to feel like they have accomplished something they would’ve never normally done.”
This well-established event, founded in 2014 in Dubai, has attracted over 2300 participants with its Dubai 2016 event, while competitors at the Ajman event are expected to top 1000.
For those already registered, Desert Warrior Challenge has offered a series of free training sessions in the lead up to the event taking place every Friday at Sports Park in Ajman.
Registration for Desert Warrior Challenge Ajman is still open and the available course categories are as follows:
5km Fearless (16 and Over)
1km Junior (Ages 6-9)
2km Junior (Ages 10-15).
