MoI Leaders: “The 44th National Day; a day of immortality for a people who kept their promise

On the occasion of the 44th National Day, leaders from the Ministry of Interior recalled the establishment of the UAE Federation, which was envisioned and launched 44 years ago by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who built the solid foundations of the Union, along with the faithful people of the UAE, in order to ensure the rise of a strong nation, with outstanding achievements upon which to build further. Leaders from the Ministry of Interior emphasized that the 44th National Day is a cherished grand occasion, and expressed their pride with this day, which marks the dawn of the Union that has become a coveted role model among other nations. They extended their warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; the people of the UAE and its honored guests. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior.

Adding further, he said: “Our 44th National Day has inculcated faith, pride and superiority within our hearts, and instilled in us the most sublime feelings of true happiness, to be living in a country that has exceeded all standards of well-being, happiness, and decent life for its people, earned a prestigious and proud position and became center of attention amongst world countries. This was achieved with the grace of Allah Almighty, and our path-breaking leader, the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who has dedicated his life to building his country and serving its citizens, and made the most sublime sacrifices to achieve unity and solidarity, which made the UAE one of the most secure and safe countries in the world.

He continued: “This day brings back glorious memories from our country’s history, while we enjoy a modern developmental process towards achieving our dreams and aspirations, with spectacular projects, ambitious plans, comprehensive development and quantum leaps that are highly acclaimed by everyone. These achievements were made possible under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who assumed the responsibility and continued the journey; a  leader who has opened his heart to people’s concerns and aspirations and dedicated his attention to achieve their happiness well-being and security, while supporting peace worldwide. The assistance extended by the UAE to different countries around the world is testament to His Highness endeavors.”

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far considers that construction; development and expansion cannot be attained without a comprehensive security system. He noted: “Our higher leadership has given top priority to developing police entities throughout the country by supporting the Ministry of Interior. This placed the Emirati Police on the highest levels internationally, as asserted by specialized international organizations and authorities. The MoI was provided with the most sophisticated equipment, vehicles, and programs to enable it address and reduce all types of crimes, and to enhance the services offered to the public.”

Furthermore, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Police and General Security, said: “Our beloved UAE is celebrating its 44th National Day, which is written in history with letters of gold, thanks to the unrelenting efforts of the great founding fathers, HH the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; his brother HH the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum; and their brothers, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates. Al Rumaithi: a Historical Journey

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Matar Al Rumaithi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, said: “The 2nd of December 1971 is a glorious day when our beloved country embarked on the historical journey of unity towards the future. This grand day is engraved in letters of light in our history, where the UAE has piled up spectacular achievements that earned it a prominent international stature. The memory of this auspicious occasion will forever be a beacon in the history of our beloved country.”

Furthermore, Major General Al Rumaithi noted: “The UAE has adopted a cohesive security approach, based on modern and sophisticated components. This has taken the traditional concept of police and security a step further, towards further interaction with the community, by sharing their events and occasions, boosting communication and cooperation under the union, in order to maintain the achievements made by our united country.”

He added: “The prosperity journey is ongoing, and the UAE is piling up countless achievements, prosperity and development in the process. It is advancing with steady steps towards a future of more development and progress, while dedicating all available resources to building citizens, who are the center of attention,  because they are the main pillar of development and prosperity.”

He continued: “The remarkable achievements made by the UAE are fueled by the cohesion of its people, the unwavering fundamentals, principles and established values that were set by HH the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The journey of construction is pursued under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. I would like to congratulate our beloved country for having such an enlightened leadership, and congratulate the people of UAE on the anniversary of the National Day.”

Major General Al Rumaithi recalled the beautiful memories of the 2nd of December; which went down in history as an honorable day for the UAE, which united all of its children with great resolve, supported by their higher leadership that gave them all the love and loyalty in return, they forged ahead armed with the national values that have become a norm, tradition, a pledge, identity and an asset passed down from one generation to another.

Al Nuaimi: a National Memory

Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said: “The 2nd of December is a historic occasion, which brings back happy memories; memories that we are proud to pass down to our children,  of a country that progressed towards the future under the leadership of HH the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, piling up countless accomplishments that created a bright image of a generous, safe, secure, and prosperous UAE.”

“December 2nd reflects the milestones achieved by the UAE and celebrates the vision of its leadership that helped establish the foundations of the Union and strengthening its values and principles,” he added. “The day of the Union is a cherished memory for all Emiratis. The UAE is advancing with steady steps towards glory and development, with world-class achievements. This approach is fostered with by the support of the Emirati people to their leadership, as they strive to effectively participate in making additional achievements to elevate the country and its flag.”

Major General Al Nuaimi expressed his pride with the UAE, which became a role model among world countries.  “44 years later, the UAE is still writing history with letters of light about its journey of resounding successes. Our higher leadership has achieved impressive development in all sectors, which in turn, contributed to a comprehensive national renaissance, deservedly earned the UAE a prestigious position on the international and global levels,” he noted.

Al Khaili: Renewing the Vow

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, described the 2nd of December as a “National Occasion” for the UAE. “On this glorious day, we renew the pledge to HH the President, to pursue tireless and loyal efforts in order to maintain the achievements of the union; elevate the UAE, and make its presence known in international forums.”

“We take pride in the various stages of the UAE establishment, and we pride ourselves with each and every achievement and developmental success made by our forefathers who loved this land and its people,” he added. “They believed that union is strength, and worked tirelessly to build it, ushering a new era of prosperity and development across the UAE.”

Major General Al Khaili remembered the forefathers who endeavored to turn the impossible into a reality, and taught us that ambition and strong will are the key to success. He also recalled the efforts of the forefather, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who has laid the foundations of the union, and worked to ensure a decent life for its citizens, an approach followed closely by His Highness the President.

This has enabled it to build a modern and sophisticated police force, with a strategic vision that keeps abreast of the rapid developments, to fight and curb the various types of crime, and maintain the security and stability of society and individuals alike.”

Al Menhali: Renewing the Pledge of Loyalty

Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Human Resources and Support Services, said: “The 2nd of December is an exceptional occasion cherished by all citizens of the UAE. It is a day to renew their pledge of loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership, and to assert the promise to elevate the UAE and maintain the remarkable cultural gains and achievements made by the UAE, while remaining a united front behind an exceptional generous leadership.”

“The National Day is an immortal occasion; it is a glorious memory anchored deep within our conscious, during everyone recognizes the fact that a country’s development  is a shared responsibility amongst citizens, who stand in support of their leaders,” he continued. “Since its establishment, the union was a role model to be emulated by all, a source of pride for citizens that is highly acclaimed worldwide. The achievements made by the UAE are the sole example of a successful union around the world; proving the UAE’s leadership, made possible thanks to the dedicated attention of decision- makers the successful approach of security and stability across the UAE.”

HH the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May he rest in peace, was keen to build the people, whom he considered to be the key pillar to the development of the UAE. Al Raisi: Special Symbolic Occasion

Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, considered the National Day a special symbolic occasion for the UAE citizens. He said: “The UAE National day is not a passing memory that brings back the story of the country’s history. It is the story of the Union of the seven Emirates, which reflect the vision and foresight of forefathers. It is an opportunity to recall how the leaders of the seven emirates rallied around an exceptional leader, who built a nation thanks to his wisdom; a man who will always be a glowing and radiant symbol for the UAE, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May he rest in peace.”

“We have had the opportunity to witness the cultural renaissance in the UAE on the economic, social, and political levels. This renaissance, which is a source of pride for all of us, has reflected positively on the reputation of the UAE and its stature amongst world countries, thanks to our wise leadership and their continuous efforts to fulfill the aspirations and ambitions of the UAE’s people.”

Al Marzouqui: The Path to Development

Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, said: “On the 44th National Day anniversary, we celebrate the sublime values set forth by the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, and by Sheikh Rashid bin Said Al Maktoum and their brothers Members of the Founding Supreme Council, who have paved the way towards development and a solid union.”

Adding further, he said: “The 44th anniversary of the UAE National day is an incentive to build upon the achieved successes, and to establish and develop further initiatives in all areas of service, field and administrative work, in order to reinforce the trust of the public in the civil defense, and promote efficient partnerships with all governmental partners and private and societal sectors.” He also highlighted the qualitative development in the civil defense sector’s services, as a part of the sustainable development of the Ministry of Interior’s services, which enjoy an unrelenting support and follow-up from Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Al Shareefi: A Memorable Day

Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director General of Protective Security at the Ministry of Interior, said: “The 2nd of December 1971 is a timeless occasion in the history of the UAE. It marks the birth of the development, generosity, and kindness process; led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May he rest in peace, who endeavored to position the UAE among the most developed countries. On this day, more than four decades ago, the Union embarked on its confident journey towards development, led by with the wisdom of Zayed Al Khair and his founding brethren, who endeavored to overcome all obstacles and achieve safety and security for all.”

He added: “Throughout 44 years, our nation has been able to position itself amongst the most developed countries. The emirates of the UAE are witnessing an increased growth and prosperity in all aspects of economic, social, political, and sporting life. The progress and development achieved by the UAE were brought to fruition thanks to the leadership’s unstinting support over the years.”

Major General Al Shareefi extended his congratulations on this auspicious occasion, and noted: “We consider ourselves lucky to belong to this generous country, ‘the country of goodness and benevolence’. May Allah Almighty rest the renaissance builder and founder late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in heavenly peace, alongside his brethren the builders of the union. Al Shamesi: A Stand of Pride

Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior said: “On December 2nd of each year, the UAE people stand in pride and admiration for the sublime Union that was able to overcome the obstacles and difficulties, with the grace of Almighty Allah, the firm belief in the wise leadership of the UAE, and the national unity among citizens and their leadership. This accomplishment was further reinforced by the ongoing support to implement principles of right, justice, and equality.”

He added: “Since the establishment of the UAE, the founding father late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers; rulers of the emirates have set a clear objective to develop, support, and advance the UAE. Thanks to their wisdom, they understood that building a nation with solid foundations requires dedicating special attention to building the human, who is the main pillar of development. Building  national competencies became a top priority throughout the Union’s journey; out of the firm belief of the UAE leadership that the human element is the key to a serious developmental process, and that true and continuous development depends on educated and conscious human cadres who constitute the main pillars of the Union. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE followed on the same path, and gave his directives to establish schools, institutes, universities, and technical education institutions.”

Major General Al Shamesi also pointed out to the Ministry of Interior’s dedicated attention ti human cadres, by endeavoring to boost the competency of the Ministry’s staff members in order to advance police work. “This was achieved by training national staff to qualify them to assume leadership positions across the different police departments and directorates. This approach would help to realize the objectives of the Ministry and attain the best results, ultimately leading to positive impacts on security and stability in the country,” he concluded.

Al Muhairi: Pride in the Nation

Major General Omair Muhammad Al Muhairi, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police said: “On December 2nd of each year, the UAE people renew their pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the UAE and the leader of this blessed journey of development, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, as well as to the leaders of these remarkable  accomplishments, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and their bothers Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the UAE.” He also noted that the UAE National Day represents an important milestone in the history of the UAE and a source of pride for the Emirati people with the achievements made by their country in various fields.

Major General Khamis Matar Al Muzainah, Commander General of the Dubai Police said: “This historic day reflects the unity among the UAE people and their wise leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Our leadership has always been committed to realizing prosperity and happiness for the people and residents of this sacred land. The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police pointed out that the prestigious stature that the UAE, as a young country, enjoys globally. “This prestigious stature is not a coincidence; it is the result of scientific plans and concrete achievements that focus on building and developing the human being. Brigadier Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police, said: "The UAE 44th National Day is a momentous occasion treasured by every citizen; it promotes our sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation founded by the late Sheikh Zayed and his brothers, rulers of the Emirates. In conclusion, Brigadier Al Mualla said: "The development witnessed by our country was not achieved by chance; it is the result of good seeds planted by our ancestors; and the fruit of forty-four years of struggle and competition with world countries. Al Kaabi: March of Goodness

Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police noted that the UAE leadership, Government and people mark the 2nd of December every year, to celebrate the precious memory of the Union’s birth. The union of our seven Emirates is written in history following the decision and will of the wise founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah bless him and have mercy upon his soul, and his brothers their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council, and Rulers of the Emirates, who brought the emirates together and placed the UAE amongst the most advanced countries in the world in different fields".

Brigadier Al Kaabi added: “As we celebrate the 44th National Day, and thanks to the wise higher leadership, we enjoy security and safety across our land. To this day, the journey of welfare achieves further glory, prosperity, and development under the wise leadership. The UAE is moving forward, with steady steps towards development, and is harnessing all wealth in order to support the human element. The security entities are playing a major role in safeguarding the security and stability of our beloved homeland".
