Thales Unveils HexaForce: AI-Powered, Sovereign Command and Control for NATO and Allied Nations

Built on an open, interoperable architecture co-designed with armed forces, HexaForce was successfully tested during NATO CWIX 2026.

HexaForce is tailored for high-intensity warfare, supporting command requirements for over 100,000 personnel where operational tempo requires the extensive, targeted deployment of AI.

Thales’ multi-domain solution (covering land, sea, air, cyber, space, and information operations) is already available.

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thales, a global leader in advanced technologies across Defence, Aerospace, and Cyber & Digital, has announced the launch of HexaForce, its next-generation AI-enhanced multi-domain command and control (C2) system. Purpose-built to support national sovereignty, HexaForce provides a rapid, battle-tested response to the massive growth in operational data and the accelerating pace of conflicts.

“Some armed forces require a dedicated data platform, while others need operational cross-domain interfaces to link up with allies and complete their systems, or faster multi-domain command functions leveraging state-of-the-art artificial intelligence. With HexaForce, Thales provides a sovereign solution tailored to each of these operational needs, setting a new benchmark in multi-domain C2 for NATO and allied nations amidst rising high-intensity conflicts.” — Christophe Salomon, Executive Vice-President, Secure Communications and Information Systems, Thales

1. A Multi-Domain Command and Control System

HexaForce operates seamlessly across all operational domains: land, air, sea, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, space, and information operations. Featuring a resilient, distributed architecture, this platform orchestrates existing systems across national armed forces and coalitions to accelerate decision-making and secure operational advantage at every level of command.

2. Enhanced Capabilities Driven by cortAIx AI

HexaForce harnesses the artificial intelligence capabilities of cortAIx, Thales’ dedicated AI accelerator, which brings together 800 engineers and data scientists working in close alignment with the Group’s defence experts.

By integrating cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI, HexaForce delivers tangible gains for operators across every phase of a mission:

Shorter planning cycles

Richer operational picture awareness

Real-time sharing and consolidation of tactical and operational situational pictures

Accelerated decision-making

Enhanced effector allocation

Optimised in-the-field maintenance and support.

By leveraging AI, HexaForce dramatically scales up data processing and operational intelligence. It automates the analysis, correlation, and prioritisation of massive data streams from military, open-source and civilian origins, significantly boosting military agility and tempo. Live trial phases are currently paving the way for full-scale deployment, targeting an increase in capacity from 100 to 1,000 targets processed per day.

This operational superiority draws directly on operational feedback from Artemis.IA—a data-centric platform deployed with the French Ministry of Armed Forces since 2023, which has proven its capability in multi-source data processing and AI scaling.

3. Seamless Integration from Tactical to Strategic Levels

HexaForce is currently the only market solution capable of orchestrating all assets across armed forces and coalition partners, spanning strategic commanders down to tactical units. It relies on a distributed data network designed to remain resilient even under severely degraded communications conditions.

4. Open and Interoperable Architecture

HexaForce combines a core software platform with multi-domain command applications. Built on open-source standards, its open and interoperable architecture has been rigorously tested, notably during the NATO CWIX 2026 exercise. This design ensures full sovereign control over incoming and outgoing data feeds without requiring data exposure.

HexaForce natively supports Data-Centric Security (DCS) and Federated Mission Networking (FMN) standards. Unlike closed, proprietary systems, it enables nations to integrate their chosen technology partners within a controlled, modular environment—delivering maximum operational performance alongside full national sovereignty. As an open, multi-domain solution, HexaForce provides complete C2 capabilities, including seamless connectivity with legacy systems provided by third-party vendors.

5. Co-developed with Frontline Forces

HexaForce is an agile milestone in military software development, built using short feedback loops alongside armed forces to continuously integrate end-user requirements at every stage.

IFF Launches Omni-Bos™ PHY to Help Dairy Producers Get More Value from Feed

New phytase technology unlocks nutrients already present in feed to improve efficiency, profitability and sustainability

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- IFF (NYSE: IFF) — a global leader in flavors, fragrances and health and biosciences — today announced the launch of Omni-Bos™ PHY, a novel phytase enzyme designed specifically for dairy cattle. The technology helps producers improve nutrient utilization and feed efficiency by unlocking nutrients already present in feed, enabling cows to derive greater value from existing feed ingredients. Omni-Bos™ PHY will initially launch in the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.

“We believe the future of dairy nutrition is helping cows receive more value from the nutrients in their feed,” said Regina Cortada, vice president, Animal Nutrition & Health for IFF Health & Biosciences. “Our research challenged the long-held assumption that dairy cows fully utilize the phytate contained in feed. We found that phytate breakdown is often incomplete, leaving valuable nutrients unavailable to the animal. Omni-Bos PHY was developed to unlock those nutrients and help producers improve feed efficiency, support sustainability goals and increase profitability.”

Global milk production is projected to grow 2% annually over the coming decade, increasing pressure on producers to improve productivity while managing feed costs and sustainability targets. Feed remains one of the largest expenses in dairy production, making nutrient efficiency a critical opportunity for producers seeking to improve profitability and performance.

Phytate — a naturally occurring compound found in many feed ingredients — can bind nutrients and reduce their availability to the animal. While phytase technology has been widely used in poultry and swine production for decades, its effectiveness in dairy cattle has historically been limited.

“Traditional phytase enzymes were not designed to withstand the unique digestive conditions of dairy cattle,” said Ester Vinyeta, innovation director, Animal Nutrition & Health for IFF Health & Biosciences. “Omni-Bos PHY was specifically developed for ruminants and is designed to remain active where it can unlock nutrients that would otherwise remain inaccessible. This enables dairy producers to extract more nutritional value from existing feed ingredients while reducing nutrient losses.”

By helping cows utilize more of the protein, phosphorus and minerals already present in feed, Omni-Bos™ PHY can reduce reliance on supplemental phosphorus and protected amino acids while supporting the use of alternative protein sources. The result is improved feed efficiency, lower feed costs and reduced nitrogen and phosphorus excretion.

The enzyme is suitable for use in concentrates, premixes and total mixed rations and has been evaluated extensively throughout product development. In one study, Omni-Bos™ PHY decreased undegraded phytate in the abomasum by approximately 70% compared with a control diet. Additional studies in lactating dairy cows demonstrated that Omni-Bos™ PHY:

Improved phosphorus and phytate digestibility

Reduced nitrogen and phosphorus excretion

Increased digestibility of nutrients including crude protein and calcium

Collectively, these findings demonstrate Omni-Bos™ PHY’s ability to improve nutrient utilization and help dairy producers maximize the value of every ton of feed while supporting more sustainable production systems.

Galderma’s Restylane® Volyme™ Demonstrates High Effectiveness, Satisfaction and a Robust Safety Profile in Chinese Patients With Temple Hollowing

ZUG, Switzerland - Wednesday, 16. September 2026

Positive topline results showed that Restylane Volyme (known as Restylane Contour in the U.S.) was highly effective in the correction of moderate-to-severe temple hollowing, with high responder rates maintained through Month 121
Restylane Volyme was well tolerated, with no incidences of granulomas. Patient and investigator satisfaction were also high1
These data support Galderma’s aim to expand the availability of the Restylane portfolio in China – a market undergoing significant expansion, and further strengthen Restylane’s vast clinical evidence base2,3

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Galderma (SIX: GALD) today announced positive topline results from a study of Restylane Volyme for the correction of moderate-to-severe temple hollowing in 162 patients in China.1 The study met its primary endpoint, demonstrating the effectiveness and safety of Restylane Volyme versus a no-treatment control, while also achieving high patient and investigator satisfaction.1 These data further reinforce Galderma's ambition to expand its Restylane hyaluronic acid (HA) injectables portfolio in China, one of the world's fastest-growing aesthetics markets, through evidence generation that supports broader patient access and additional treatment areas.1-3

Powered by diverse NASHA®, NASHA HD™, and OBT™ technologies, Restylane offers gels with the highest firmness to the highest flexibility, enabling personalized treatments that deliver structural support, natural-looking results, and a healthy glow.1,4-8 Restylane Volyme is a moderately soft and flexible gel made with OBT that distributes within the tissue to offer natural-looking results, helping to soften temple hollowing, restore facial balance, and create a refreshed appearance.1,4,9 With a dual-layer patent-pending technique leveraging both needle and cannula, Restylane Volyme enables healthcare professionals to provide precise, customized, and safe product placement in line with each patient’s aesthetic goals10-12

The volume of the temples can diminish with age, which can disrupt facial balance and harmony, and contribute to a tired, sunken, and aged appearance.12-14 These facial changes can be accelerated in people undergoing medication-driven weight loss, a phenomenon which has increased rapidly in recent years.12-14 Following the launch of Restylane Volyme in China for the treatment of the mid-face region, this study provides new evidence supporting its effectiveness and safety for correction of temple hollowing, in a market where there are currently limited options.1

“Temple hollowing is a common concern among patients seeking facial rejuvenation, particularly for those experiencing medication-driven weight loss, yet treatment options in China remain limited. These results demonstrate that Restylane Volyme can provide effective, natural-looking correction with high levels of patient satisfaction and a robust safety profile. As demand for individualized aesthetic treatments continues to grow in China, expanding the range of evidence-based solutions available will be increasingly important.”

PROF. ZHAO HONGYI
STUDY PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR,
DIRECTOR & CHIEF OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PLASTIC SURGERY, BEIJING HOSPITAL, CHINA

In this randomized, evaluator-blinded study, 162 adults were recruited across six sites in China and were split 2:1 into two groups; the Restylane Volyme treatment group or the no treatment control group.1 Results showed that for patients in the Restylane Volyme group:

    Strong effectiveness
94.4% of patients demonstrated at least 1-grade improvement in temple hollowing, from baseline, in both temples at Month 6 after last treatment, compared to just 2.0% in the control group at Month 6 after baseline.1
Blinded-evaluator Galderma Temple Volume Deficit Scale responder rates remained high through Month 121
91.3% of patients showed improvement on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale for both temples through Month 12, according to the treating investigator1
    High satisfaction
Patient satisfaction was high at Month 3 and remained consistently high, with more than 84% of patients satisfied with both the natural look and natural feel of their temples through Month 121
More than 90% said they would recommend the treatment to a friend, and over 86% would have the treatment again1
Half of the participants felt comfortable returning to social engagement within 24 hours after initial treatment1
    Robust safety
Restylane Volyme was generally well tolerated, with no treatment-related serious adverse events and no granulomas1

“These positive topline results further strengthen the clinical evidence supporting Restylane Volyme and mark an important step in our strategy to expand the Restylane portfolio in China. As one of the world’s fastest-growing aesthetics markets, China presents a significant opportunity to address evolving patient needs with science-backed, differentiated solutions. This study supports our ambition to broaden the indications available to practitioners and patients, while reinforcing Galderma’s leadership in Injectable Aesthetics through continued investment in innovation and clinical research.”

Schneider Electric Concludes Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa, Highlights Energy Intelligence as the Next Phase of the Energy Transition

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates -

As AI, electrification and industrial expansion reshape energy demand across the Middle East and Africa, Schneider Electric today concluded Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa by positioning energy intelligence as the next phase of the energy transition - where infrastructure becomes more connected, resilient and software-defined.

Held at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, the two-day summit convened over 2,500 attendees, including government leaders, industry analysts, customers, partners, students, and media, under the theme ‘Advancing Energy Tech to Power Intelligence and Resilience.’

Industry leaders explored how electrification, AI-ready data centers, cybersecurity, and digital innovation are reshaping energy systems. Day one featured keynotes from H. E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum, in the presence of H.E. Marie Audouard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the UAE. The summit also featured the launch of the Innovation Hub, the Data Cube, and Olivier Blum’s address on “The Era of Intelligence.”

“We’re entering an Era of Intelligence in which AI is becoming embedded in the physical economy. AI may be digital, but it runs on electricity and depends on the physical systems beneath it,” said Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric. “As an Energy Technology Partner, we help customers connect energy and operations through data, software, AI and automation, turning intelligence into action to improve performance, resilience and competitiveness. The scale of this shift is clear in the Middle East and Africa, where governments and businesses are investing in energy and digital infrastructure to support industrial transformation and long-term growth.”

The summit also featured the release of the company’s 2026 Industrial AI in CPG Study for the UAE, which found that 59% of UAE manufacturers expect transformational AI adoption by 2030, compared with 42.2% globally. Walid Sheta, President, MEA Zone, said, “As our region’s manufacturers move faster and more confidently on industrial AI than anywhere else, it’s our responsibility to make sure that confidence is well-founded. Cybersecurity, resilience, and return on AI investment are the concerns we hear about most often from customers, and rightly so.”

Schneider Electric reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with governments, customers, and partners to accelerate intelligent, resilient energy infrastructure.

Rubedo Life Sciences Announces Clinical Study to Treat Hair Loss with GPX4 Modulator RLS-1496, First Human Ex Vivo Evidence Demonstrates Robust Hair Follicle Growth

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Wednesday, 16. September 2026 AETOSWire

AGA clinical trial to begin in Fall 2026 led by David Pariser, MD, FACP, FAAD, former President of the American Academy of Dermatology and Principal Investigator in more than 450 dermatology clinical trials

Rubedo’s RLS-1496, the first and only GPX4 modulator currently in clinical trials, demonstrates superior hair follicle restoration in human ex vivo androgenetic alopecia (AGA) model, matching or outperforming finasteride; findings consistent with dual SenoAdaptive mechanism that activates dormant hair follicle

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rubedo Life Sciences, Inc. (Rubedo) today announced a new clinical study of investigational RLS-1496 in patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA), beginning October 2026, with initial data expected in the first half of 2027. The study marks the first-ever clinical evaluation of a GPX4 modulator in hair loss, extending the program that established RLS-1496 as the world’s first GPX4 modulator to enter human clinical trials of any kind.

RLS-1496 has already demonstrated efficacy in clinical trials for actinic keratoses and aging skin, and other skin conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, generating novel human evidence demonstrating the dual SenoAdaptive mechanism that clears pathologic senescent cells and promotes a redox reset by modulating NRF2 pathways in stressed aged cells, including stem and progenitor cells. Ex vivo studies on a human hair follicles AGA model resulted in the restoration of hair follicle growth, as depicted in the image above.

In an independent ex vivo human AGA model — conducted using intact human hair follicles from male patients with AGA, challenged with dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to replicate the follicular miniaturization environment seen in AGA patients — RLS‑1496 demonstrated statistically and highly statistically significant increases in hair follicle elongation compared to vehicle control at 2 doses, respectively, with the highest dose showing a numerically greater trend in mean elongation than finasteride.

Hair follicle elongation at Day 6 was greater with RLS-1496 versus vehicle across all doses, with the strongest effect at the highest concentration — directionally outperforming standard-of-care finasteride

The pattern is consistent with rescue of the anagen (active growth) phase, when targeting senescent cells from the follicular niche allows stem cell reactivation from the dormant state and the follicle to resume its natural growth program

“The senescent cell biology underlying hair follicle aging is compelling, deeply consistent with what we have seen across our RLS-1496 program, and vastly underexplored as a therapeutic target,” said Rubedo Chief Executive Officer Frederick Beddingfield III, MD, PhD, FAAD. “For the first time, we are bringing a medicine into the clinic designed to clear the aged cells at the root of stem cell dormancy and follicular miniaturization. We are proud to do so in partnership with Dr. Pariser, and we are moving with the same urgency that made RLS-1496 the world’s first GPX4 modulator in human trials.”

AGA is the most prevalent form of hair loss globally, affecting approximately 50 million men and 30 million women in the U.S. alone; however, the treatment landscape has seen no genuinely new FDA-approved approaches in nearly 30 years.2 The global AGA market, valued at $3.2 billion in 2025 and projected to reach $6.8 billion by 2035, is defined by two therapies — minoxidil and finasteride — that slow the hormonal signals that cause hair follicles to progressively shrink and degenerate, a process known as follicular miniaturization. Follicular miniaturization is the biological hallmark of AGA, in which each successive growth cycle produces a thinner, shorter hair until the follicle can no longer produce visible hair. Neither therapy addresses the senescent — aged and dysfunctional — cells now understood to accumulate within the follicular niche and drive this miniaturization at the cellular level.3,4,5

Unlike existing therapies that target secondary hormonal causes of hair loss, RLS-1496 is designed to act on the primary cellular aging mechanism: the accumulation of senescent and stressed dermal papilla cells that actively suppress stem cells, follicular regeneration, and drive progressive miniaturization. By targeting these cells with selective elimination or functional restoration, depending on the cell state, RLS-1496, a first-in-class SenoAdaptive Drug, aims to remove the cellular brake on follicular regeneration itself.3,4,5,6

Rubedo Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer Marco Quarta, PhD, will present the ex vivo data, along with additional RLS-1496 data, at the 13th Annual Aging Research & Drug Discovery (ARDD) Meeting at Harvard University, October 1–3, 2026 — the world’s largest dedicated longevity science conference. The presentation marks the first time a GPX4 modulator program in hair loss will be presented at a major longevity science conference.

Dr. Quarta said, “RLS-1496 appears to act at several convergent points in the AGA disease cascade — where we believe it acts by clearing senescent cells, suppressing follicular regeneration, reducing inflammatory SASP signaling, while also modulating NRF2 pathways and activating Wnt/β-catenin pathways governing anagen re-entry. To our knowledge, no approved AGA therapy operates at this level of biology.”

Rubedo’s proprietary ALEMBIC™ spatial transcriptomics applied to patient hair follicle biopsies identified senescence markers and transcriptomic signals consistent with activation of the follicular regenerative cascade, including the expansion of hair follicle progenitors, and downregulation of key drivers of the follicle regression phase — providing human clinical evidence that RLS-1496’s effects on senescent cell biology extend to hair follicle tissue. In preclinical animal studies, RLS-1496 also achieved approximately 32% greater hair regrowth versus vehicle.1,6,7

“The preliminary data we have seen with RLS-1496 are scientifically intriguing and warranted clinical evaluation,” said Dr. Pariser, Professor of Dermatology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Principal Investigator of Virginia Clinical Research, Inc., who will be leading the RLS-1496 hair loss clinical trial. “The senescence biology underlying AGA is increasingly well-supported in the published literature, and RLS-1496 represents a genuinely novel approach to it. I look forward to seeing what the data show in patients given the ongoing unmet need.”

About RLS-1496 and GPX4 Modulation

Rubedo’s lead candidate RLS-1496, being developed for topical and oral administration, is a first-in-class, disease-modifying GPX4 modulator selectively targeting pathologic senescent and other stressed, aging cells that drive chronic, age-dependent diseases. These include immunology and inflammation (I&I), dermatology and skin aging, hair loss, metabolic syndrome (obesity, diabetes, liver fibrosis), sarcopenia, and neurodegenerative disease.

In certain pathologic cells, aging is associated with an imbalance in GPX4. Modulation of GPX4 sensitizes cells to ferroptosis, which is a type of programmed cell death and is believed to be an Achilles heel of senescent cells. By modulating GPX4 in ferroptosis-sensitive senescent “aged” cells, RLS-1496 may be able to clear these cells to fight disease and also support healthy cells to function properly and restore tissue homeostasis. Beyond its targeted senolytic function in triggering selective ferroptosis within pathological senescent cells, RLS-1496 can also act as a restorative modulator that induces a vital ‘redox-reset’ through a controlled hormetic response in stressed neighboring cells, effectively clearing the source of chronic inflammation while actively re-establishing healthy tissue homeostasis. This dual-action mechanism represents a novel drug category—Adaptive SenoTherapeutics.

RLS-1496 uses Rubedo’s proprietary, AI-driven drug discovery platform ALEMBIC™, which identifies targets within pathologic senescent cells and develops selective cellular rejuvenation medicines for these targets.
