BONN, Germany & MOSCOW - Thursday, December 4th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
(BUSINESS WIRE) - Deutsche Telekom unit International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS) has signed an agreement with the VimpelCom Group to provide it and its affiliates with high-quality signaling services using an advanced modular system. ICSS won the deal with the VimpelCom Group following a competitive bid process.
While the general signaling agreement fixes the commercial details of the deal, VimpelCom’s 14 operating companies will enjoy the flexibility of a tailored service set. The companies are present in Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Algeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe. They will choose from a “menu” of signaling products and features according to their local needs. This novel toolkit approach benefits ICSS’s clients, since it ensures outstanding service efficiency and allows a prompter beginning of the technical implementation phase.
“Operational efficiency is one of our main priorities. The partnership with Deutsche Telekom will provide us with a solution that fulfills our requirements in economies of scale along with a high-quality global approach,” says Evgeny Ryabov, General Manager of VimpelCom International Services B.V.
“The project gave us the opportunity to prove once again that we have the capability to quickly develop innovative, tailored services,” comments Holger Magnussen, Senior Vice President Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions. “We are pleased to provide such a large company with a modular solution that gives each country the highest flexibility to use exactly the services that match its particular needs.”
